My Review on ORGANIPETS
My own dogs for some time were fed on a very well known dog food recommended by many vets (not Hills the other one they recommend.)
Having five dogs 3 Bearded Collies 1 Old English Sheep Dog and 1 tiny Terrier cross it proved difficult to have on this particular food only one bag, ie Iona the eldest was on Mature, Ditto and Breeze were on Sensible, Ziggy the OES was on Maxi and Angel aka MOO the terrier was on Mini Adult what a nightmare all these bags.
I had been monitoring the food for some time as 2 of the beardies had piled on the pounds I hate it when a vet refers to one of my dogs as podgy.There coats also where not looking brilliant they seemed to have lost there lustre. I also noticed that the terriers teeth even though I do clean them looked like a dental was on the cards another of my pet hates.
Ziggy was not doing so good either her skin was not as it should be very greasy and again although being fed well below the recommended amount she to was piling on the pounds.
The turning point sadly came when Iona became ill. She is the eldest of the dogs and at 8years was not looking her best as she does at the bottom of this page. We had bought a new bag of dog food and all of a sudden Iona started to be violently sick. Having 5 dogs a stomache bug in the house can as you can imagine be dreadful so I was suspicious that the other dogs showed no signs of illness. Iona went to the vets anti biotics prebiotics etc, she was put onto chicken and rice while I did some research on the food I was feeding. I read countless dog food reviews and spoke to a dear vet friend of mine in the USA only to convince myself that it was time for a change of diet.
But where do you go from here?
I decided that my dogs where no longer going to eat chemically enhanced foods (Look up eu permitted preservatives or BHA in dog foods it terrified me and incidently are banned in America WHY) and some of the ingredients to are a little disturbing so where do you go then.
Well we decided on Organipets Iona was introduced carefully first reducing her chicken and rice and increasing the Organipets she loved the food instantly.
It didn't take long for the problem tummy to drift away and be forgotten. The others soon followed onto the new food with amazing results for angels teeth the tartar started to disappear.
I have genuinely noticed a difference in the dogs they are more lively they had become almost lethargic in there every day routines not anymore.
They love the new food and so do I.
I honestly feel I am giving them the best that I can other than cooking for them myself.
